Glumi — Privacy Policy

Summary

Glumi does not collect any personal information. The app requires no account and contains no ads. The data you enter stays on your device and is not sent to the Glumi team or to third parties, except in the cases described below.

What Glumi keeps on your device

The child's first name, your foods and recipes, menus, the meal log (what was served and eaten, likes), the cell number of the parent to notify (optional), the photos you add (plates, labels) and your settings. This data is stored only on the device, in the space reserved for Glumi.

What goes over the Internet

Glumi uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools.

Sharing

Nothing is shared unless you do it. You can choose to send a meal summary by text, the log or a backup (Quick Share, email…): these go through the apps you choose, to the people you choose.

Device backup

If Android's automatic backup is turned on for your device, Android may include Glumi's data in your Google account backup. This backup is managed by Google and can be turned off in the device settings.

Permissions

Children and teens

Glumi is intended for parents, educators, and teens aged 13 and over. The app collects no information, including about the child whose carbs are being counted.

Deleting your data

You can delete foods, recipes and log entries in the app. Uninstalling Glumi, or clearing its data in the device settings, permanently deletes everything.

Security

An optional lock code (Settings) protects changes. Data security also depends on your device's screen lock.

Health

Glumi counts net carbs; insulin decisions are part of your treatment plan. Glumi does not replace advice from your care team.
